He meets English teacher Jessica Donovan, who is looking for a change, and they form a connection. Jake agrees to train Jessica and her fiancé for their wedding, but Jessica and Jake grow closer as Kent's job commitments prevent him from attending the classes. They decide to compete in the World Championships of Swing, but face challenges from younger and more agile competitors, as well as Corinne's renewed interest in Jake.
