Four orphans, Ying, Sao, Yuanlong, and Niehu, become exceptional martial arts experts and imperial guards during the Ming Dynasty. Ying is tasked with escorting the Golden Wheel of Time, said to have the power of time travel, but is framed for treason after the wheel's correspondence reveals a hidden traitor. Ying's quest for justice leads him to modern-day Hong Kong, where he is reanimated after 400 years and teams up with May, an intoxicated woman who helps him adapt to the new world. Ying's mission is to correct history and clear his name, but he must first confront Sao and Niehu, who have also been reanimated, and stop them from continuing their pursuit of him.
