Frankenstein and Me background

Frankenstein and Me

Earl, a teenager, has a rich imagination sparked by classic films like Frankenstein and Night of the Living Dead, released in 1968.

A teenager obsessed with monsters imagines himself living in a world of Universal Studios creatures. Despite being a good student, his strict teacher disapproves of him and punishes him for minor infractions. His supportive father, a dreamer who never achieved success, dies, leaving his mother to care for two boys and try to change Earl's behavior. After discovering a lost "true Frankenstein" at a carnival, Earl decides to revive the monster.
