A woman flees her abusive husband, a police officer, and finds solace with a man who is going through a tumultuous divorce. However, when her husband tracks her down and a series of events unfolds, the police begin to suspect the man she has taken refuge with of murdering his estranged wife. But as the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that the real killer is actually the woman's husband, who has fabricated an alibi with the help of his cop colleagues.
