In the small town of Butcher's Mill, Illinois, two friends, Buddy and Earl, are struggling to find success. Earl hopes to marry Pam, the only single woman in town, but she has strict criteria, including owning a trailer home. Meanwhile, Buddy, who thinks he's a master criminal, concocts a plan to kidnap a corrupt U.S. Congressman for ransom. However, the scheme goes awry when the Congressman is accidentally turned into bologna at the local meat-packing plant.
