40 Pounds of Trouble

A casino manager's day of fun and games takes an unexpected turn when he's paired with a mischievous young companion at the Happiest Place on Earth.

Steve McCluskey, the manager of the Villa D'Oro Hotel and Casino, is a wanted man in California for failing to pay alimony to his ex-wife. He's at odds with the new headlining singer, Chris Lockwood, who's also Bernie Friedman's "niece". When a gambler's 5-year-old daughter is found abandoned at the hotel, Steve takes her in, putting his job at risk. As he and his staff grow attached to the child, Steve risks being caught by his ex-wife's henchmen and Bernie, the hotel's owner, to grant the girl's wish to visit Disneyland with Chris.
