Tony Wolf, a San Francisco police officer, is falsely accused of drug charges by the criminals he's been pursuing. After being dismissed from the force, he takes up a private detective job for attorney Dylan Elliott, who fought to have him removed. Dylan believes Tony was framed and tries to help him prove his innocence. Tony lives with his father Sal on an old boat that always needs repairs and spends most of his free time with girlfriend Connie.
