The Killing

The body of 17-year-old Rosie Larsen is discovered in the trunk of a submerged car, sparking a police investigation, a grieving family's search for answers, and a tumultuous Seattle mayoral campaign.

In Seattle, Detective Sarah Linden is wrapping up her last day on the job, preparing to leave with her son Jack to join her fiancé in Sonoma. However, her plans are put on hold when a patrol car discovers a bloodied sweater in a field, leading to the discovery of missing girl Rosie Larsen's body in the trunk of a car at the bottom of a lake. The car is registered to the campaign committee of councilman Darren Richmond, who is running for mayor.
