Lawyer Margaret Wright hires her scruffy but talented son Todd as the in-house investigator for her law firm. As the black sheep of the well-to-do Wright family, Todd is laid-back, quick-thinking, and a former private detective who fell on hard times after his flexible interpretation of the law led to his license being revoked. Margaret's strict adherence to the law contrasts sharply with Todd's scrappy methods: finding his way through sticky situations by the seat of his pants and leveraging his charm and tech savvy.
