A decades-old mystery of a vanished young girl from an English village is rekindled when a journalist tries to make a documentary about the case, putting the lives of those affected at risk.
In 1963, a young girl named Alison Carter disappeared from a small English village, leaving a devastated community and a determined police officer, George Bennett, in her wake. Years later, journalist Catherine Heathcote is producing a documentary about the case, but Bennett, now in his 70s, suddenly pulls out of the project, sparking a new investigation into the past.
