A crime drama that follows the investigation and prosecution of murders in London. The police team, led by Senior Detective Sergeant Ronnie Brooks, a recovering alcoholic with a tough past, and his partner Junior Detective Sergeant Joe Hawkins, a young officer from child protection, work to catch the killers and gather evidence. Once the suspects are caught, the Crown Prosecution Service takes over, led by Senior Crown Prosecutor Jake Thorne, who fights for justice alongside his team, including Junior Crown Prosecutor Kate Barker and CPS director Henry Sharpe.
