A new three-part ITV drama series follows healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. Dr. Abbey Henderson leads an acute medicine team as they face a surge of patients and shortages of PPE, staff, and beds. As lockdowns are imposed in March, the strain on the NHS intensifies when government policies conflict with care home discharges and inadequate PPE. The series follows Abbey's journey as she moves away from her family to protect them from the virus throughout 2020 and another lockdown.
