Max, a streetwise individual, works multiple jobs to make ends meet, including a night shift at the retro Williamsburg Diner. Caroline, a sophisticated trust-fund princess, is forced to take on waitressing after a string of bad luck. Initially, Max views Caroline as another incompetent server, but discovers she has more depth than expected. When Caroline learns about Max's exceptional baking skills, she sees an opportunity to turn their talents into a profitable business, but they must first secure start-up funding.
