The film explores the lives of Tibetan refugees in Dharamsala, primarily consisting of children and monks, as they share their stories and experiences in intimate interviews.

Tibetan refugees, numbering 130,000 globally, with 80,000 in India, flee their country to escape oppression. Many trek weeks through Himalayan mountains, often losing limbs to frostbite, to reach Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan government in exile. The refugees, mostly children and monks, risk everything to escape torture, humiliation, and lack of education and religious freedom under Chinese rule.
