Vijay, a mechanic, lives in Pudupet with his three close friends. His life changes when an artist, Raghuvaran, and his wife move in next door. Vijay meets Jyothika's character, Swetha, on New Year's Day and believes good things start happening after she greets him. He falls in love with Swetha, but her father, a business tycoon, opposes their relationship and hires a thug to kill Vijay.
