The Wild North background

The Wild North

A fugitive trapper flees through the Canadian wilderness, pursued by a relentless Royal North-West Mounted Police officer.

A happy-go-lucky French Canadian trapper befriends a Native American girl and agrees to travel with a bully, but when the bully tries to kill them, the trapper kills him in self-defense. He is then pursued by a by-the-book Mountie who believes in capturing the man, but the trapper's skills are needed to survive the rugged and dangerous country.
