Three whalers, stranded in the Canadian Arctic in 1896, are rescued by an Eskimo tribe and taken in as their own, but their integration is threatened when they begin to act out and cause trouble.

Three whalers, stranded in the Arctic North Canada in 1896, take refuge with an Eskimo tribe and gradually gain control over the village. They introduce vices like gambling, drinking, and theft, as well as a new form of sexuality. Initially, the Eskimos accept these changes, but as time passes, cultural tensions begin to rise.
