In 1961, the United Nations dispatches an Irish peacekeeping force, led by Commandant Pat Quinlan, to Jadotville, Congo, to safeguard the mining town's inhabitants as a civil war erupts. As the UN advisor, Dr. Conor Cruise O'Brien, launches a military operation against French and Belgian mercenaries, the Irish troops find themselves vastly outnumbered and under siege by Katangese and mercenary forces. Can they hold out against the overwhelming attack?
