The Nevada Kid becomes entangled in a stage robbery, and the gang leader, Cherokee, secures his release by fabricating a petition to the Governor. Despite his efforts to reform, the Kid's new job as a stage guard is also targeted by thieves. After the Sheriff imprisons Cherokee, who was not involved in the robbery, the Kid is caught helping Cherokee escape and ends up back in jail.

The Nevada Kid, caught in a stage robbery, is released by gang leader Cherokee after forging a petition to the Governor. Despite his intentions to go straight, the stage he's guarding is robbed again, and Cherokee is eventually jailed by the Sheriff.
