A former lawman, Steve Burden, is released from duty after bringing in too many wanted men dead. He takes a job as the Deputy of El Solito, where the aging Sheriff wants him. However, Steve is driven by a desire to uncover the truth behind the framing of the last outlaw he killed, which he believes is connected to Rice Martin, the powerful figure controlling El Solito.
