After his mother's death, Collin Fenwick moves in with his wealthy, controlling, and avaricious relatives, Verena and Dolly. When a city slicker convinces Verena to market Dolly's famous tonic, Dolly finds the courage to stand up for herself and refuses to reveal the formula. She escapes to a treehouse with Collin and Catherine, the loyal maid, but Verena, who has the town in her pocket, sends the law after them. With the help of a retired judge, Charlie Cool, who has fallen for Dolly, the trio must outsmart Verena and uncover the truth about the city slicker's intentions.
