The Ghost Rider background

The Ghost Rider

A new series of westerns starring Johnny Mack Brown and Raymond Hatton replaces the Rough Riders series after the death of Buck Jones in a Boston nightclub fire.

Johnny Mack Brown and Raymond Hatton star in this western, the first of a long-running series of Monogram-produced films. Brown plays a lone rider seeking vengeance, while Hatton reprises his role as Sandy Hopkins from the Rough Riders series. Their characters are initially unaware of each other, but Hopkins offers McKenzie a marshal's job at the end of the film, which he declines to continue his quest.
