At a summer space camp, a group of American kids learn the ins and outs of operating the Space Shuttle. A trio consisting of a young man who signed up to meet girls, a would-be astronaut, and a seasoned instructor who yearned for a real mission instead of teaching, are given the chance to pilot the Shuttle during a test run. However, they're accidentally launched into space instead of just testing the engines.
