Roy Rogers, owner of a horse transportation service, is set to transport several thoroughbreds to the Pan American fair races at Monterey. One of the horses is "Dancing Girl", a valuable mare owned by Doris Stewart, who is struggling to keep her ranch. As they approach the border, they're approached by a gypsy fortune teller named Rosina, who warns them not to continue the trip. However, they're attacked by masked bandits, and the horses are stolen.
