Two childhood friends, Peter and Kimani, face the harsh reality of racial inequality in Kenya. After Kimani's father is imprisoned for adhering to traditional customs, Kimani joins a rebellion seeking to expel all non-Kenyans. Despite initially supporting the cause, Kimani is torn by the indiscriminate violence and begins to question the morality of the movement.
