In modern-day San Francisco, Sherlock Holmes is awoken from a self-induced state of suspended animation, brought on by an earthquake. He teams up with Amy Winslow and a new group of Baker Street Irregulars, led by Zapper, to take on the evil Moriarty clan, led by James Moriarty Booth.

Sherlock Holmes is revived in the present day, having used a method of suspended animation he invented on himself. An earthquake sparks his awakening, and he receives assistance from Amy Winslow, who resides at 1994 Baker Street in London.
