A young boy, Víctor, is found wandering along a rural road, and his mother, a prominent lawyer specializing in media trials, Patricia, is notified. Víctor, who is deaf and mute, communicates through sign language, which explains why he didn't respond to police questioning. He recounts being kidnapped by a stranger at school, leading the police to suspect Charlie, a man with financial struggles and an expectant wife. When Charlie can't account for his whereabouts during the kidnapping, Patricia, frustrated with the police's inability to make an arrest, reaches out to her former lover and Víctor's father, Raúl, setting off a chain of events that spirals out of control.
