In 1985, the unmanned Soviet space station Salyut 7 suddenly ceases to respond to commands from the Control Center, putting it on a collision course with Earth. If it falls, it could cause widespread damage and loss of life. To prevent disaster, a team must be sent to the station, but no one has ever attempted to dock with an uncontrolled vehicle in space, making this the most challenging mission in space exploration history.
