In the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War, two performers, Jorge and Enrique, take in a young orphan named Miguel and travel the country with their variety show. As they perform, they witness the devastating effects of the war and face suspicion from the "Nationals", who accuse some members of their company of collaborating with the Republicans, a stance opposed to the Franco Regime.
