The film "November" is a unique blend of magic, dark humor, and romantic love, set in a pagan Estonian village where werewolves, the plague, and spirits roam. The villagers' desperate struggle to survive the harsh winter leads them to steal from each other, their German lords, and even spirits and the devil, in exchange for their souls. They barter with thieving creatures called kratts, who help their masters steal more, but this obsession slowly turns the villagers into soulless beings. The story follows a young farm girl named Liina, who falls in love with Hans and becomes a werewolf in her desperation. As the farmers face the question of whether their hard-won life is worth living without a soul, Estonian and European mythologies come together in search of an ancient force that can give them the souls they long for.
