Morgan Freeman: Breaking Barriers

Morgan Freeman has had a prolific career, with over 100 film credits to his name. His distinctive voice and calm demeanor have made him a household name, earning him five Oscar nominations and one win for "Million Dollar Baby". Born to a barber and schoolteacher in Tennessee, Freeman grew up in Mississippi and later Chicago. Despite his passion for acting, he initially considered a career as a pilot, even turning down a college scholarship to join the Air Force. Freeman's early career included dancing at the New York World's Fair and acting on Broadway, before he became a familiar face on TV as a cast member of "The Electric Company" in the 1970s. Today, Freeman continues to act, but has also reinvented himself as a pilot and beekeeper.
