Moonshine Mountain

A country western singer returns to his hometown in the Carolina hills, only to find himself entangled in a bitter feud between local moonshine bootleggers and ruthless government agents.

In this movie, a TV singing star named Doug Martin returns to his roots in the Carolina hills to find authenticity. He meets two families, the Carpenters and Bashams, who own a large moonshine operation and are involved in a series of illegal activities. Doug falls in love with Laura Carpenter, but his society fiancée, Della, is not happy about it. The sheriff, Asa Potter, has a dark past and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his operation running, including killing anyone who gets in his way. The movie is a comedy, but it deals with some heavy themes and has a lot of violence.
