In the midst of the 1968 Paris student uprising, Milou's life is forever changed with the passing of his mother. As the world outside descends into chaos, his brother's frantic updates on the radio serve as a constant reminder of the turmoil. Meanwhile, a niece, an antique dealer, arrives with her eyes fixed on the family's treasured emerald ring, which Milou's daughter Camille has already worn. The arrival of a truck driver and his nephew, a young activist who was part of the uprising, further complicates the situation. Amidst the strikes and unrest, the family is unable to lay their matriarch to rest, leaving Milou to navigate the turmoil and find a way to move forward.
