Lost for Words

An elderly woman's life is turned upside down when her adult son and daughter-in-law are forced to consider placing her in a nursing home after she suffers a stroke.

The autobiographical sequel to _Wide-Eyed and Legless_ follows Deric, who has married writer Aileen Armitage and is living in Huddersfield after the death of his first wife Diana. His mother, known for her unique way with words, is struggling with declining health due to old age and eventually loses her ability to speak after a stroke.
