A travel agency employee in Prague arranges scenes from everyday Czech family life for Japanese tourists, while also acting as a matchmaker. His friend Hanka is torn between her partner Peter, a radio announcer recording real-life moments, and two other suitors. Hanka's friend Vesna, from Macedonia, has a mysterious reason for coming to Prague, which is revealed as her search for a connection with a specific person. Meanwhile, a brain surgeon turned eccentric follows Hanka, leading her to meet Jacob, who uses marijuana to cope with the world but struggles with short-term memory loss, forgetting his girlfriend.
