In 1982 Beirut, 12-year-old Lina's life revolves around her 18-year-old aunt's Syrian maid, Siam. Lina becomes Siam's protector, organizing her romantic trysts and defending her interests. Despite this, Siam and Lina's family barely notice Lina, particularly her reckless and gambling-addicted father. As war, passion, and frustration surround her, Lina tries to connect with adulthood, but remains wild and untamed.
