In Lisbon, Portugal, a school for the blind teaches children to adapt to their disability by avoiding risks and being comfortable. However, a new teacher, Ian, a non-conformist who is also blind, introduces innovative methods. He rejects canes and instead uses echolocation, instinct, and imagination to help the children develop spatial awareness. Ian's sessions gain the attention of Eva, a patient who never leaves her room, and they form a bond as they learn to trust each other.
