In the 1870s Arizona territory, two brothers, John and Jed, are haunted by their father's execution. Years later, John has become a marshal, while Jed has turned to a life of crime as the leader of the Blue Chip Gang. After a stint in prison, Jed is released and warned by his brother to stay out of trouble. Jed heads to the Turkey Track Ranch, unaware that the rancher has died and it's now controlled by the greedy and crooked Ben Bodeen. Bodeen is trying to acquire all the fertile lands in the region for the benefit of the cattle growers association, which is in a feud with the farmers. The farmers and cattlemen both want Jed on their side, but he decides to remain neutral. However, when the honest sheriff is murdered, the territory is thrown into chaos and Bodeen starts a war against the farmers. Jed is forced to choose between helping the farmers or robbing the stagecoach carrying their money shipment. The final showdown takes place in the main street, where Jed must decide whether to stay neutral or take sides.
