In 1984, a dismissed teacher in Kyiv, Andrej Romanovic Evilenko, begins a gruesome killing spree, targeting children and young women. After almost eight years, he is finally caught by magistrate Vadim Timurouvic Lesiev, who had been assigned to capture the serial killer. Evilenko is executed in 1994 after being found guilty of murdering 55 people.
