A woman, Sun-yeong, is on her way to her mother's home to give birth when a mysterious man jumps into her taxi. He speaks nonsense, claims to know the driver and Sun-yeong, and starts a countdown. As he reaches zero, the taxi crashes and everyone falls unconscious. When Sun-yeong wakes up, she finds herself in a deserted field, where she heads to the nearby Taeryong rest area, hoping to contact her mother. However, upon arriving, she discovers that the village is in a state of technological chaos, with everything electrical malfunctioning and people vanishing one by one.
