Emotional Arithmetic background

Emotional Arithmetic

Three former prisoners from a German concentration camp, still bearing deep emotional scars, are reunited years later at the invitation of one of their own, leading to a night of unforgettable events.

The Winters family, living on a Quebec hobby farm, is not without its tensions. David, a semi-retired professor, has a history of infidelity, while his wife Melanie, a former student, struggles with emotional instability and a mysterious past. Melanie's passion for uncovering political oppression is rooted in her own traumatic experiences during World War II, when she was interned at Drancy, a transit station outside Paris, along with Jakob Bronski and Christopher Lewis.
