Irish explosives expert John H. Mallory flees the British government and finds himself in 1913 Mexico, amidst the Revolution. He teams up with a short-tempered Mexican outlaw, Juan Miranda, and his family, using his expertise to plan a heist on the supposedly impenetrable Mesa Verde National Bank. However, their plan goes awry, and they become trapped in the Revolution, forced to fight alongside Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata against the ruthless Colonel Günther Reza.
