Dog Pounded background

Dog Pounded

In this cartoon, Sylvester Cat attempts to outsmart Tweety Bird by chasing him through a bustling city dog pound, where Tweety has taken refuge in a tree.

Sylvester, an alley cat, spots Tweety in his nest on a tree high above a dog pound where bulldogs reside. The cartoon features numerous gags, including Sylvester walking a tightrope wire, being blown off by dog breath, and using a swing to reach the tree. Tweety tricks Sylvester into revealing the secret of his hypnotism, and the cat disguises himself as a dog. The dogs anticipate Sylvester's plan and wait for him in the tree branches. The best gag is Sylvester painting a white stripe down his back to make the dogs think he's a skunk, which attracts Pepe Le Pew who wants to make love with the cat.
