Dick Turpin, a legendary English highwayman, robs from the rich and gives to the poor, but his life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Alice Brookfield, an aristocrat forced to marry Lord Churlton. Dick helps Alice escape her unwanted marriage and they embark on a thrilling adventure to London, with Alice disguised as a boy. As they evade Churlton's pursuit, Dick is eventually captured and sentenced to death, but with the help of his friend Tom King, he makes a daring escape and reunites with Alice. Together, they defeat Churlton, flee to France, and get married, with Dick ultimately giving up his life of crime to start a family.
