Rebecca Kamen wakes up in an interrogation room at a rundown precinct, unsure of how she got there. Detectives Avery and Moon question her about a hit-and-run incident involving her smashed bumper. As the interrogation progresses, Rebecca pieces together that she may have been drugged after flirting with a man at a bar the night before. She decides to seek legal representation and is visited by lawyer Isaac Barsi. Despite her initial skepticism, Rebecca learns that Barsi works at the same office as her lawyer in Tokyo. While in jail, Rebecca is advised by her friend Sarah to flee when things escalate with violent inmate Sullivan. In a tense moment, Det. Moon's life is threatened by Sullivan and Rebecca is urged to use a weapon to defend her. However, the situation takes a tragic turn when the shot meant for Sullivan hits Moon instead. Fearing the consequences, Rebecca is brought to Det. Avery's office where she offers a large sum of money to make the incident go away. When Avery demands even more money, Rebecca grows suspicious and starts to question the authenticity of the arrangement.
