In a gritty western thriller, a group of lawmen go undercover to infiltrate a notorious bandit gang, whose leader is secretly involved in a lucrative mining scheme, and bring the culprits to justice.

In 1893, a cunning gang of outlaws smuggles gold out of the country by stealing high-grade ore, melting it down, and plating it to resemble lead. To combat this scheme, the government dispatches agents Bret and Larry, who arrive in Cripple Creek disguised as Texas gunfighters. As they investigate, Bret uncovers the smelting operation, while Larry discovers the payoff. However, their cover is blown when the corrupt town marshal becomes suspicious of their true identities, putting their lives at risk.
