Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes

The documentary Challenger Disaster: Lost Tapes tells the story of the Space Shuttle Challenger and its crew, particularly Christa McAuliffe, the first civilian in space. McAuliffe, a teacher from New Hampshire, was chosen to educate school children about space and future interplanetary travel. Tragically, her dreams and NASA's were cut short when the Challenger exploded shortly after liftoff, witnessed by a live television audience. The film uses journalist reports, NASA recordings, and interviews with McAuliffe and others to recreate the events leading up to the disaster.
