Fledgling director Fletcher Mathering is on the verge of financial stability as he's secured a backer for his new film, Death Takes a Spree. However, his newfound prosperity is built on shaky ground, as the backer, George "Georgie-boy" Gomez, has acquired the funds by stealing from a ruthless gangster. Georgie-boy's condition for investing is that the movie must star Lena Little, a fading actress who still has a devoted fan in a local hood who always carries a gun for her sake.
