Bread and Roses

The film tells the story of two Latina sisters who toil as janitors in a bustling office complex, and through their struggles, they champion the cause of labor unionization.

A young Mexican woman, Maya, enters the US without papers and seeks refuge with her older sister Rosa in LA. Maya finds work as a janitor, but faces exploitation by a non-union service and a ruthless supervisor. Amidst the struggles, Maya attracts the attention of a union organizer, Sam, who is fighting for better working conditions. As tensions rise, Rosa and Maya's relationship is put to the test, along with the delicate balance between the workers and management.
