A homeless cat named McTavish's unlikely adoption leads to a series of events as he's tasked with capturing the mice plaguing his new home. The cat cleverly pretends to catch different mice, earning rewards of beans each time. However, he eventually tires of beans and tries to eat the mouse, only to be tricked into eating more. The cat finally captures the mouse, but instead of a reward, he's fed up and flees, leading to a series of bean-filled misadventures in Boston.
